Suzanne Johnson, the first lady of the New York Jets, is a longtime friend and confidant of First Lady Melanie Trump. Suzanne, from New York, is of Ukrainian descent which is what bonded Melanie and Suzanne in the beginning of their friendship. Suzanne Johnson, along with her husband Woody Johnson, have been longtime supporters of President Trump and this family. Woody Johnson is also a friend and confidant of President Trump and the Johnson family are long-time financial donors to the Republican party. The Johnson family is very focused on supporting conservative causes and putting America and Americans first in this country.
Suzanne Johnson had a brief career as an actress, but her passion was finance. She is fiercely intelligent and
although she loved acting, she wanted to put her college degree to use. She graduated from Cornell University where she originally studied Engineering but later switched to Business Studies. After graduating, she worked as a stocks specialist on Wall Street and she made her first million dollars at the young age of 26.
She joined Sandler O’Neill and Partners as part of the equities team. On 9/11 she was running late to work after a business breakfast ran late. Her office was located in 2 World Trade Center and she tragically lost 75 colleagues that day. She was also on the phone with the founding partner, Herman Sandler, when she heard the explosion. She was devastated by the loss of her friends. She was the only surviving member of the equities team.
In 2004, Suzanne met her future husband, Woody Johnson, at a Michael Milken conference in Beverly Hills. They were introduced to each other through a mutual friend. Suzanne knew that she had met someone special and two days later, they went on a date in SoHo. From that first date, the relationship grew into love and they were married in 2009. They have two sons and Suzanne is a doting and loving mother. She believes in traditional family values and that a women should put her children and husband first in life.
After becoming a wife and mother, Suzanne decided to put her focus on her family and her husband. The devoted mother centers her life around her children and being the first lady of the New York Jets. She fully supports her husband and his business and philanthropic endeavors. She has an active role in game day activities for the team and the fans and she is an NFL ambassador of the women’s apparel line. In the past, she has created NFL tee-shirt collaborations with Marchesa and, specifically for Super Bowl XLVIII, Andrew Rosen of Theory.
Woody Johnson, current co-owner of the New York Jets, is a philanthropist, businessman, and a former diplomat who served as the United States ambassador to the United Kingdom from 2017 until 2021. He is the great-grandson of Robert Wood Johnson I, the founder of Johnson & Johnson. He co-owns the Jets with his brother Christopher Johnson. Woody is a long-time Republican Party donor and a huge supporter of President Trump. He has known Trump for 30 years and he endorsed Trump for president in 2016. After Woody’s endorsement, he was named one of the RNC’s six finance vice-chairmen.
Woody and Suzanne Johnson have donated generously to help get President Trump elected and to other causes that support putting Americans first. They donated $1.5 million to Trump’s campaign and inaugural committee by 2019. The Johnson’s also gave $575,000 to Trump’s reelection committee and $355,00 to the RNC in February of 2020. In May of last year, he gave $1 million to America First Action, a super PAC dedicated to electing candidates that support creating a safer and more prosperous America.
Woody Johnson is also the founding chairman of the Alliance for Lupus Research. The foundation, established in 1999, is dedicated to finding better treatment and to ultimately cure Lupus. Woody realized that there was very little research being done into the cause and cure for Lupus after his daughter was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease. The Lupus Research Alliance has given more money to Lupus research than another company or agency in the world. Woody Johnson also is very dedicated to helping fund research for Diabetes. Both Woody and his wife Suzanne are passionate about charitable causes that impact people around the world.
Suzanne Johnson is known for her work ethic and her unwavering support of her husband. Their marriage is based on traditional values that have become so rare in America.
