For months, we watched as the BLM movement destroyed cities, ruined businesses and created chaos. It was devastating to watch. My beloved city turned into a war zone. Friends who owned businesses watched helplessly as their businesses were burned or their inventory was stolen. The government tied the hands of the police and BLM was allowed to ruin whole cities.
Even today, we are finding out co-founder, Patrisse Cullors-Khan, has been buying expensive pieces of properties left and right. The amount of money that she has been spending should raise re The BLM movement is imploding and so far, all their illegal activities have been excused by the liberal media and democrats because it only furthers their causes. I was sick to death watching all this unfold and also watching how many excuses were made as the destruction ruined places that I loved and people that I loved.
Now, the same people who supported BLM’s right to protest are condemning the truckers who are protesting in Ottawa. The Freedom Convoy has made the news just like BLM but unlike that terrorist group, they are being denounced for their right to protest. I find it so hypocritical that the Freedom Convey is being labeled as disruptive but BLM was applauded for their “protesting.”
For those unaware, the Freedom Convey is a group of truckers who are protesting the illegal Canada-U.S. vaccination and quarantine mandate that requires truckers crossing the border to either be vaccinated or quarantined. The truckers are also protesting the mask mandates. All these mandates completely fringe on the rights of free citizens and the Freedom Convoy is bravely and rightfully protesting the right to make the choice of what you do with your body.
When BML was burning cities to the ground, the media and members of the liberal government supported their dangerous and illegal activities. The Freedom Convoy is being referred to as “completely out of control” by Mayor Jim Watson and a “disruptive.” The media is only reporting on the activities of only a handful of people trying to move the narrative away from the real reason behind the protest. I believe those people trying to ruin the Freedom Convoy are actually Antifa because the convoy is about the freedom of the people.
These unfair adjectives are being thrown around to distract people from focusing on the real issue which is the government dictating what people can and can’t do with their own health and now the city of Ottawa is trying to suppress the brave individuals who are fighting so hard for the voiceless.
In the ultimate move of hypocrisy, GoFundMe has suspended the $8 million in donations raised for the convoy. Gov. DeSantis thankfully called out GoFundMe for deceptive practices and is working hard to right this wrong. GoFundMe claimed that they have “evidence” that the funds being raised were going towards unlawful activity. Elon Musk brought up the very good point on his Twitter the double standard of GoFundMe allowing BLM donations while they were busy looting and burning cities, yet the Freedom Convoy’s donations have been suspended.
The face that BLM has been upheld as legitimate and the Freedom Convoy has been branded as threatening makes me sick. Why is one ok but not the other? Why does BLM get cate blanche to steal and destroy yet true patriots defending their personal freedoms are branded as traitors. I for one am sick of the hypocrisy from the left. The Democrats only support the agendas that fit their narrative. They don’t care about freedom, they don’t care about the rights of their citizens, they only care about pushing their own agendas that support their greed.
I think it is high time for Democrats to just admit their true intentions instead of pretending that they care about the rights of Americans.
